Black Parrot Adult 15% is a 15% protein general purpose parrot breeder and maintenance food.
It has been formulated to provide the necessary nutritional requirements of adult birds and is suitable for both breeding parrots and as a general maintenance food. Parrot Adult 15% is balanced for essential nutrients such as protein, energy, vitamins and minerals eliminating the necessity to feed expensive supplements.
Parrot Adult 15% is manufactured as 4mm diameter pellets.
Fish Oil & Turmeric
Black Parrot Adult 15% contains fish oil and turmeric. Fish oil is a rich source of essential omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA which support joint, cellular, feather and skin health. Turmeric contains the active ingredient curcumin which has been shown to have beneficial antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
Feeding Recommendations
Feed Black Parrot Adult 15% ad lib. as the sole diet, along with Black Parrot Chews 17% or as a supplement to a grain or fruit based diet.
Birds that have been raised exclusively on seed based diets may take a while to become accustomed to the different appearance and texture of pellets. The best way to introduce pellets is to add them to the usual diet and slowly increase the pelleted portion while restricting the amount of their usual food. This may take two to four weeks or even longer for older birds. As with all diets, it is extremely important fresh water is available at all times.
Ingredients
Black Parrot Adult 15% does not contain artificial colours or flavours and is formulated from a selection of the following ingredients: Wheat, triticale, barley, oats, peas, lupins, beans, lentils, canola, soya, sunflower and products derived from these ingredients. Fish oil, vegetable oil, turmeric, limestone, di-calcium phosphate, bentonite, sodium bicarbonate, potassium carbonate, salt, lysine, methionine, threonine, tryptophan, isoleucine, valine, antioxidant and digestive enzymes.
Vitamins: A, D3, E, K, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin), B5 (pantothenate), B6 (pyridoxine), B7 (biotin), B9 (folic acid), B12 (cobalamin) and choline.
Minerals: Calcium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, chloride, cobalt, copper, iodine, iron, manganese, molybdenum, selenium and zinc.
